Strong winds, gusting up to 90 kilometres an hour, will continue to hit Airdrie throughout the day.
According to Environment Canada, the northwest winds are blowing at 50 to 80 km an hour, possibly reaching up to 90. No wind warning has been issue by Environment Canada yet, although the winds should be taken into consideration and caution should be exercised on the roads.
The wind is also contributing to a lower than average temperature, with the daytime high currently at 4 C. It's expected that the windy and rainy conditions will continue throughout the day, breaking sometime in the evening.
